RIM, Classic fM announce winner of a small business mobility makeover

Research In Motion (RIM), the developer of the BlackBerry® solution, today announced the winner of "The BlackBerry® Mobility Makeover" competition, which was run on Classic fM.
ClickIT will receive BlackBerry® Professional Software and 20 BlackBerry® smartphones as part of this prestigious prize. This solution, specifically tailored for small and medium companies, will help ClickIT to become more successful, efficient, effective and productive. Darest, a RIM alliance partner, will be responsible for the implementation and configuration of the solution.
Small, micro and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) were invited to enter the competition by registering on the Classic fM website and answering specific questions related to their company as well as a BlackBerry-related question.
Says Dominic Ntsele, a Classic fM director: "We're pleased with the number and quality of entries we received for this competition. They represent the vibrancy and diversity of the SME sector in South Africa. Congratulations to ClickIT – I trust that this prize will enhance their business going forward."
"Like the BlackBerry solution, Classic fM is a great supporter of small, micro and medium sized South African businesses, so we were really excited about an opportunity to work with the radio station to uplift a small South African business," says Deon Liebenberg, Regional Director for Sub Sahara Africa at RIM.
"SMEs are the engines of economic growth in South Africa. It is vital that they learn to take advantage of technologies such as mobility to grow their businesses and remain competitive if they are going to grow into sustainable world-class enterprises."
"As a smaller business you need to be resourceful. BlackBerry solutions can help you to work optimally, no matter when or where you are. Staying in touch and in control of your business at all times means that you can have the competitive edge," says Liebenberg.
Says Wayne Sorour, Technical Manager at Darest South Africa: “The BlackBerry solution requires a relatively low upfront investment, yet allows a business with limited resources to vastly improve its efficiency, productivity, flexibility and responsiveness by freeing people from the constraints of offices and traditional 9-5 working hours. We look forward to helping ClickIT realise the benefits of this powerful solution.”
“We are truly overwhelmed to have won such a substantial and opportunity rich prize and we are very excited about the synergy that has been created for all the partners concerned. We intend to maximise the opportunity to its fullest and harness the potentially seamless integration and automation that the BlackBerry solution will provide into our Goldmine and Microsoft CRM offerings,” says Daniel Turtledove, Director of Business Solutions at ClickIT.
